MICK RIBAULT

Founder, President

Mick is the founder and President of Dragonfly Pond Works. His lifelong love of nature and the environment led him to earn a degree in Fisheries and Wildlife Science from North Carolina State University. During the years leading up to his founding of Dragonfly, Mick worked in a variety of environmental positions—from an early, ground-floor position as an aquatic applicator to later gaining his certification as a BMP Inspector of stormwater retention facilities, and eventually becoming a General Contractor, specializing in grading and excavating.

Throughout his 19 years working in the field of lake and pond management, Mick has been a steadfast believer in lifelong learning and continual professional growth. Today, he expresses that belief as the overseer of Dragonfly University, the company’s internal professional development program. He refers to himself as the “cultural gatekeeper” at Dragonfly. As President of Dragonfly his goal is to build a company that solves client problems and executes its responsibilities with professionalism, passion and a desire to pursue continuous improvement.

KIM MACALISTER

Kim is an inspiring and visionary leader with more than 20 years of experience in executive management, and as an entrepreneur herself, spent 15 years prior to joining Dragonfly running her own consulting firm dedicated to helping entrepreneurs grow and succeed.

As the Chief Executive Officer at Dragonfly, Kim applies her formidable knowledge and management skills to strategic planning, formalizing operations protocols, financial planning, recruitment and personnel management, and ensuring our clients receive the quality work and individual attention they deserve.

No one knows better than Kim how to bring all aspects of Dragonfly’s operations to bear on ensuring the “Dragonfly Client Experience” is consistently satisfying and one we can feel proud of.

TOM PULLARO

Client Service Manager-Charlotte

Tom is one of the veterans of Dragonfly, and through his ten years with the company, has served in virtually every aspect: field technician, project manager, sales and client services, Director of Contracting, and Director of Operations. His many roles within Dragonfly, as well as his many industry accreditations, give him an exceptional breadth of understanding of our customers’ needs and how to meet them.

Tom has worked since the early beginnings of Dragonfly to help develop capabilities and a company culture that is centered on this truism: “We are only as good as our last project.” There’s no resting on company laurels for Tom and the needs of his clients.

Tom takes particular satisfaction from working with our clients to help transform their lakes and ponds into beautiful waterscapes and create attractive stormwater management facilities that operate as intended.

ARTHUR QUINBY

Director of Sales and Marketing

Arthur is an innovative leader with more than 40 years of sales and marketing experience, including working for several major national and international advertising agencies. Additionally, Arthur applied his specialized knowledge in running his own communication agency for 15 years, helping small business owners achieve their marketing and sales goals.

As the Director of Sales and Marketing at Dragonfly, Arthur is highly creative and results- oriented. He challenges team members to take risks in solving opportunities in unique ways. He leads by the mantra that there are no bad ideas; even if an idea does not work, it might stimulate a great new vision.

Under Arthur’s imaginative leadership, Dragonfly’s sales have grown significantly. Arthur utilizes his vast experience, knowledge, and endless creative energy to inspire team members to maximize Dragonfly’s sales and marketing outcomes.

RYAN MILLER

Client Service Manager—Florida

Ryan’s years of experience in golf course construction, grading, and studying how water behaves, as well as his work as a landscape contractor, give him unique qualifications to meet the challenges of shoreline erosion and restoration.

His experience includes using our Dino sediment removal pump dredge and geo bags to restore over 2000 feet of eroded shoreline at a luxury residential development in Florida. He also responded to one property owner’s Notice of Violation from Pinellas County, Florida by leading the excavation, dredging, shaping, and restoration of 6 different retention ponds to full compliance.

Ryan’s professional experience since earning his degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia has taught him that an exceptional client experience begins and ends with strict attention to detail.

ORION HARRELL

Client Service Manager- Triangle

Orion graduated from the University of Puget Sound with a BS in Biology. In addition to his educational experience, Orion gained valuable knowledge while working with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife as a Scientific Aid assisting environmental scientists.

Upon graduating, Orion was determined to start a career in the environmental industry that would allow him to contribute to the health of the environment. Orion has found Stormwater Management with Dragonfly to be a perfect fit due to being able to continue his education relating to maintaining ecosystems, while also directly contributing to the cause.

As Client Service Manager, Orion shares his knowledge and passion with clients in order to create and maintain their beautiful aquatic spaces. Orion aspires to continue to learn from his superiors and promote Dragonfly as the great resources that it is.

BROCK MARKS

Client Service Manager- Triangle

Brock grew up in and around the equine industry, working on a large equestrian farm and operating machinery. These early experiences led him to develop an interest in conservation and wildlife.

Brock has a wide variety of life and work experiences that have contributed to his success. Brock is a multiple time combat veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan. He has 8 years contracting sales experience, 15+ years in land management and excavation, including founding and operating his own estate and land management company. Brock brings his expansive experience and skill set, along with his deep-rooted belief in conservation and resource health and management to Dragonfly.

Within his role, Brock appreciates being able to turn something unnoticeable and forgotten into a feature of a property so that the stormwater system is viewed as more than just a necessity, but also an aesthetic asset for Dragonfly’s clients.

JARED BEARD

Client Service Manager-Wilmington, NC/Myrtle Beach, SC

Jared graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science degree and major in Fisheries and Wildlife Sciences. From an early age, Jared developed a passion for the outdoors and specifically the water. His drive to have a positive impact on the environment led him to seek a career with Dragonfly Pond Works.

Jared started with Dragonfly working in the field creating, restoring, and maintaining healthy stormwater systems. He is proud to be able to bring his professional knowledge and experience to provide environmentally sound water beautification solutions.

As Client Service Manager at Dragonfly, Jared is focused on developing long-lasting relationships to best meet the needs of all clients. Jared’s commitment to great client service helps him efficiently assess stormwater system issues and provide effective, healthy solutions.

PAUL SWENSON

Logistics Manager

Paul’s love of plants and water quality management led him to earn a degree in Forestry with a minor in Natural Resources from Purdue University. Before coming to Dragonfly, he worked in a variety of water-related positions throughout the country. Paul has obtained numerous certifications, such as Master Naturalist, Pesticide Applicator, Native Landscape Certification, BMP Stormwater Certification, and Master Pond Manager.

Paul has served in a variety of roles for Dragonfly Pond Works since early 2016 and has never stopped pursuing continuing education to keep up to date on the best management practices being developed. In addition to his 8 years working in water resource management, he has also traveled abroad to study the impact of different policies on natural resource issues.

As Logistics Manager at Dragonfly, Paul continues his commitment to managing stormwater efficiently, while always focusing on environmentally friendly solutions.

KRYSTI SCHWARTZ

Director of Finance

Krysti is a Certified Public Accountant with 10+ years of experience. Krysti obtained her Bachelor and Master’s degree in Accounting from UNC Wilmington. She has experience as an auditor where she had the opportunity to audit and review various types of companies and in a public company where she assisted with financial reporting, budgeting, and month-end close processes.

Krysti brings a wide range of accounting, financial reporting, and internal control knowledge to Dragonfly Pond Works. Her goal is to apply her extensive experience to build a company that is financially stable. Krysti strives to utilize her business skills and knowledge to maximize Dragonfly’s potential and performance.

As Director of Finance at Dragonfly, Krysti has effectively implemented financial processes and procedures that have proven to help Dragonfly Pond Works continue to succeed as one of the top pond and lake management companies in the Southeast.

After a long career in the technology sector, Erikka joined the Dragonfly family because of the tremendous focus that the company places on culture and its people. Erikka spent many years in sales and client support until she found her way into Human Resources. She quickly realized it was where she should have always been. Building and growing a culture of leadership, learning, and employee engagement are her passions. Erikka believes that happy engaged employees foster client focus. Happy clients create a profitable organization that creates growth in our community.

Erikka is proud to be working with an organization that is focused on improving our environment and local communities. Her goals are to create programs and support for all of the Dragonfly employees and build an employer brand that is recognized as the best lake and pond management company in the Southeast.

TYLER TALUCCI

Director of Operations

Tyler has been working in environmental services for 10 years. Tyler earned a Master’s Degree in Watershed Management from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry. Prior to coming to Dragonfly, Tyler gained experience in invasive plant surveys, aquatic plant removal, and environmental remediation.

Since joining Dragonfly Pond Works, Tyler has demonstrated his extensive skill set by working in several different areas, including maintenance, client services, and most recently operations planning and management. As Director of Operations at Dragonfly, Tyler utilizes his vast knowledge and experience to ensure all projects are completed to the highest standards of quality while overseeing the safety, efficiency, and productivity of all team members.

Tyler’s specialized experience combined with his passion for protecting our natural resources makes him uniquely qualified to certify that Dragonfly Pond Works’ operations are completed with the utmost focus on quality and safety.

KYLE GENTRY

Operations Planning Manager

Kyle grew up spending the majority of his time outdoors with a deep appreciation for nature and wildlife. While pursuing his degree in Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology from NC State, this appreciation quickly developed into a great passion for the environment, habitat management, and problem solving.

Kyle’s interest in environmental solutions and stormwater function and design led him to Dragonfly. Kyle gained valuable experience and operational insight as a field technician in both maintenance and non- recurring and then as a Maintenance Regional Manager. Kyle has continued his education through obtaining his Stormwater SCM Inspection and Maintenance Certification.

As Operations Planning Manager, Kyle supports and leads the Dragonfly Team in effective and efficient solutions. Kyle’s extensive capabilities and environmental dedication make him highly qualified at ensuring operations are completed at the level of quality that has come to be expected of Dragonfly.

JAMES WEHBIE

Regional Manager- Triangle, Charlotte, Charleston

James obtained a degree in Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology from NC State after deciding to pursue a career that would benefit the environment. Through his education and experiences, James witnessed the impact development and human activities were having on the environment, which led him to believe in the importance of working in this field.

Since joining Dragonfly, James has gained significant experience with most sides of the business. Over the years, James has been involved in maintenance, mowing, construction, scheduling, and client services, while also obtaining his Stormwater SCM and Maintenance Certifications. James’ experience and knowledge helped him grow into his current role of Regional Manager.

Within his role, James strives to improve efficiency, and continually develop construction related skills within himself and his team. James’ knowledge, passion, and leadership are significant assets to the Dragonfly Team.

MICKEY ST CLAIR

Regional Manager-Triangle, Wilmington

Mickey’s passion for the environment started with growing up on a farm and exploring the outdoors with his Dad. He started developing his machine operator skills at 16 in construction. While pursuing his degree in Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology from NC State, Mickey developed a keen interest in stormwater.

Mickey started with Dragonfly as an intern in May 2016 assisting estimating and site assessments. During this time, Mickey developed an appreciation for Dragonfly’s operations and helping the environment by treating water before it reaches waterways. Mickey’s education, passion, and early experiences operating machinery have made him ideally suited to a variety of sides of the business, including non-recurring, crew leader, project manager, and now regional manager.

Within his different roles, Mickey has continued to develop his knowledge and hone his skills. He’s obtained numerous certifications and as Regional Manager, leads his crews to success through expertise and firsthand experiences.

ELI GONZALEZ

Regional Manager- Florida

Eli grew up in Puerto Rico, spending the majority of his time in the outdoors. He decided at a young age that he enjoyed being able to learn through firsthand experiences and working outside. This led Eli to construction and he quickly worked his way up to machine operator.

Eli has been operating machines since 2009 and is highly skilled at utilizing a wide variety of small and large machinery. Through working an extensive variety of projects, Eli has become highly qualified at site layout, blueprint reading, grading, and drainage plans. Eli’s broad knowledge and skill set have made him highly adept at solving all manner of challenges for completing Dragonfly projects.

As Regional Manager, Eli prioritizes communication and prides himself on understanding every detail about each project he oversees. Eli enjoys leading his crews to success while also helping to grow Dragonfly’s business across Florida.

BRYAN WALLACE

Regional Manager Maintenance - Charlotte, Wilmington, Charleston

Bryan’s love for the outdoors and aquatic spaces started at a very young age while growing up next to a pond. Bryan attended Central Piedmont Community College and NC State to obtain his degree in Fisheries and Wildlife Biology in pursuit of a career working outside with aquatic systems.

Bryan has been in the industry since 2000 and is a Licensed Commercial Aquatic Pesticide applicator in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. Additionally, Bryan is NCSU Stormwater Inspection and Maintenance Certified. Bryan’s expansive aquatic management expertise makes him highly qualified to lead the Dragonfly Maintenance Team and facilitate the most appropriate solutions for clients’ aquatic issues.

As Regional Manager, Bryan enjoys training his crews on maintenance and treatment techniques. Bryan has a wealth of knowledge and experience, which ensures the Dragonfly Team is adept at maintaining all aquatic systems.

ROSS DION

Regional Manager Maintenance-Triangle

Ross obtained his degree in Fisheries Science from Virginia Tech after deciding to choose a career path that would allow him to pursue his passion for the environment. Ross developed this passion and appreciation for nature while growing up fishing and hiking.

Ross has been in Stormwater Management since 2011. During this time, Ross has managed water bodies across North and South Carolina. He specializes in developing integrated pest management plans in order to meet the needs of clients and stakeholders. Additionally, Ross has obtained his NC Stormwater Certification and is a NC Aquatic Pesticide Licensed Applicator.

Ross oversees Dragonfly’s Triangle Maintenance Team and utilizes his vast knowledge and experience to educate clients about their stormwater devices and aquatic systems. Within his role, Ross works diligently to support and drive his team to maintain clients’ beautiful spaces to the highest standard.

TRAVIS ANDREWS

Regional Manager- Florida

Travis has been in the industry since 1998 and specifically in aquatic management for the past 16 years. Travis decided to pursue a career in lake and pond management due to his love of the outdoors and spending time near water.

Travis’ industry experience started with installing and maintaining water gardens. He was highly interested in utilizing aquatic plants and beneficial bacteria to create a balanced ecosystem for clients. This interest and passion naturally grew to encompass larger aquatic systems. Travis has obtained licenses in Aquatics and Natural Areas. He seeks every opportunity to broaden his already vast aquatic management knowledge.

As Regional Manager, Travis focuses on growing Dragonfly’s Florida maintenance division and leading his crews through his decades of industry knowledge and experience. Travis ensures that clients understand their aquatic systems and the processes Dragonfly utilizes to maintain them as beautiful spaces.

Tim started working in stormwater management as a second career when a lifelong friend offered him a position in his new stormwater company, BMP East, Inc. Tim recognized the opportunity to join a new company in an important, growing field. He quickly gained experience and knowledge that led to greater responsibilities within the organization.

Tim has been in the stormwater industry for 12 years now, as a field technician, crew leader, and maintenance supervisor. Tim continually strives to add to his stormwater knowledge and has obtained numerous industry related certifications, including Stormwater BMP Inspection and Maintenance Professional.

As a Regional Manager in Dragonfly’s maintenance division, Tim brings his expansive stormwater knowledge to lead his crews to success. Tim ensures all personnel under his supervision are well trained and maintain their stormwater systems in 100% compliance.
