Stormwater News: Contaminated Runoff and Beach Pollution

Stormwater News

DID YOU KNOW?

One of the most common sources of beach pollution is contaminated runoff from urban environments and other developed areas. This can lead to discomfort, sickness, and an unpleasant environment for people and wildlife in the area. Properly functioning and well-managed stormwater BMPs, such as ponds and wetlands, are critical to water quality and a healthy ecosystem. Pond and lake management is one of the most important factors in keeping our beautiful North Carolina beaches clean!
